This policy explains how Somers Handling (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data in connection with the somers-handling.com website. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

When you submit our enquiry form we collect your name, company, email, phone (optional), product or service interest and the message you provide. We use Plausible Analytics to measure aggregate site usage — Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

We use enquiry data solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up on an ongoing commercial conversation. We do not share enquiry data with third parties except the processors listed below.
3. Lawful basis
Our lawful basis for processing enquiry data is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — specifically, responding to the business enquiry you have submitted.

Enquiry emails are retained for as long as necessary for the purpose they were submitted, plus up to 6 years for legitimate business and tax record purposes.
